Selecting a career is the most important decision on a
person's life. Some people have career goals, some have ordinary job goals
& others have school or academic goals. Picking a career is not as easy as
it seems most Indians may dream of having that one stable full time job with
benefits and job security. I’ve always been a writer and will always be no
matter what else I do. Writing is my art, it appears in everything I do and
whenever I work I always find myself writing something. As soon as my superiors found out I could
write well they had me writing everything.
Other than writing, teaching also seems to come naturally to me it seems like I end up teaching someone something in every job I do. I could often train my coworkers more effectively than any supervisors simply because I get involved in same day to day work as my coworkers while my superiors don’t. I enjoy teaching and the pay isn’t bad though I only want to teach part-time because I hate grading papers. By teaching full time I would probably spend the majority of my time grading papers and it wouldn’t give me time to write. In my dream career I would like to spend one third of the year outside working. No matter what I do I’d always find time to write to keep myself from going crazy.
Being a writer is what I see myself as however teaching and farming would still be a part of my life as writing also gets boring when you have to do much of it. I have only learned the basics of writing like putting together sentences and things like forming paragraphs with sentences and things like that, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In future I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs with research papers, documents and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafts and final products.
In my life writing started from kindergarten when my teacher taught me how to write my name over and over until I could write it with no errors. I have been taught from initial ages that I need to quit thinking too much on what and how to write whereas it has be start with an outline form whatever comes in mind. I need to spot and fix the Run ons and fragments or not to make any error at all. My goal is to write papers without having to reassure that maybe I need to do more research or have more data or even have to rethink my whole topic over. I would love to have the knowledge to be a tutor someday and teach other people how to properly write papers, paragraphs, essays and maybe even books. To have excellent skills in writing will definitely be great advantage in my writing profession. Just saying the phrase, “I am a writer” still brings a certain amount of anxiety you see, growing up I loved writing. First and foremost, "practice writing". Nothing gets worse with practice – Remember that! Also keep track of time spent writing via some form of log. On weeks when I feel zero motivation to sit down at the notebook and write, just look at your log of time spent writing. Hopefully, this motivates me to continue.
